Jacuzzi

Jacuzzi is certainly no stranger to the bathroom market, being at the forefront of technology since their invention of the whirlpool bath in the 1950’s.

Bathroom City has been affiliated with Jacuzzi since our establishment in 1986, and has continually stocked the latest designs and technology.

Not only does Jacuzzi feature in our showrooms on a regular basis but also on our blog!

Yes, if you hadn't noticed we simply love talking about Jacuzzi, why? Because the prestigious brand has so much going on, whether it be new products, events or technology, Jacuzzi has got to be one of the most active brands in the bathroom industry.

Combining a perfect solution of style and functionality, the famous whirlpool designer is edging its way more and more into people’s homes, with the development of more compact whirlpool technology and a range of designs which can accompany almost any bathroom setting, extinguishing the need for a huge open space for a hot tub to unwind.

Previously, we’ve perused lesser know products by Jacuzzi, concentrating on the vast range of sanitaryware the brand has to offer; this time though, we’ll be looking at the one of the brands most applauded collections, whirlpool baths.

A whirlpool bath is the pinnacle of luxury in any modern family bathroom and Jacuzzi’s range of different designs promises everything from deep sensual massage to vigorous rejuvenation.

The Aura Whirlpool Bath from Jacuzzi oozes home spa chic, with its spacious sunken design, which recesses into the floor, the luxury whirlpool combines stunning modern artistry and function for premium relaxation.

The Aura Whirlpool Bath
The two main characteristics which make the Aura Whirlpool Bath stand out from the crowd, is its unique shape and choice of Teak, Wenge and Italian Marble finishes for the deck surround, which can play home to a drink or two when submersed in warm bubbles.

Along with its eye catching styling, the contemporary whirlpool offers several technical features which separate it from the rest of the market including; rotating back jets, an integral shower handset, underwater lights, sanitising system and soft headrests, for an exceptional bathing experience.

The Aura range from Jacuzzi displays a full spectrum of shapes and designs, supplying a size or function suited to any modern installation.

A more traditional take on whirlpool bathing is the Sharp collection; which exudes class with its more versatile design suitable for standard bathroom suites.

The Sharp 70
The stand out factor of both the Sharp 70 and Sharp 75 whirlpool baths is the shape, and not necessarily because it is pretentious or awe-inspiring; it’s because it’s so wonderfully ordinary, supplying all the luxury of a whirlpool installation without having to give up too much space.

Although streamlining a more extravagant whirlpool into a more compact space, the Sharp 70 still makes room for an abundance of features including: a seat, 6 rotating jets, 4 jets, a head rest and sanitising system; packing superior function in a versatile design.

Steering more towards a hot tub, the Aquasoul whirlpool range offers a variety of sizes depending on space but primarily looks to occupy larger bathrooms or wet rooms, with the Aquasoul Extra, Aquasoul Corner 140, Aquasoul Corner 155 and Aquasoul Double taking centre stage.

Each design from the Aquasoul collection from Jacuzzi offers a comprehensive range of features, none more so then the Aquasoul Extra; a robust 3 seater whirlpool bath which blurs the lines between bath and hot tub.

The Aquasoul Extra is an unrivalled modern design with its sleek contemporary styling and generous bathing space: “Extra” a fitting name for a whirlpool bath that offers 3 seats.

Amongst its potential for 3 people to relax simultaneously, the robust bath incorporates 10 rotating jets, 6 jets, 4 fixed jets, a sanitising system, underwater light and heater.

The Aquasoul Extra

With Bathroom City’s long history with Jacuzzi (since our establishment in fact) we can support each and every one of their designs, guaranteeing quality, easy to use functions and bold styling.

What is the future of bathroom entertainment?

It seems that technology is the order of the day, with many publications, news stories and social media being geared towards gaming, albeit, the future of gaming.

With a buzz of activity surrounding computer game releases, the future of consoles and smart TVs, we felt it appropriate to take a look at how new technology could find its way into the humble bathroom.

The bathroom is an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, a peaceful haven where you can divulge your senses, so it could be deemed slightly taboo to incorporate high tech gadgets and gizmos into your bathing experience.

With that said, a lot of people use television and computer games to unwind, and combining the two could be a dream come true for many.

These state of the art additions cannot span as far as the entertainment systems found in the living and bedrooms, due to the harsher conditions they must live in, but still provide ample brain melting facilities.

The Luxurite Legend Series Digital Mirror TV
For example, the Luxurite Legend Series HD Ready, Digital, Silver Mirror Bathroom TV comes in a range of sizes and combines all the functions of a regular unit with an added twist.

Purpose built for the bathroom environment, the stylish television is designed to withstand the perils of the bathroom environment and – when turned off – transforms into a contemporary mirror, perfect for that subtle contemporary edge.

Moreover, the Tilevision widescreen TV combines a heated glass screen and remote control, allowing the TV to be used in high humidity such as hot tubs, bathrooms and swimming pools – for us, the idea of watching TV while in a hot tub is heaven.

With past exploits in bathroom video games, we already know that the future is bright for toilet technology. It wasn’t long ago since we saw Sega develop urinal-mounted video game Toylet over in Japan.

So how about the two combined? We have smart TVs in the living room, heat resistant TVs in the bathroom and top developers like Sega creating games for the toilet; could this be the beginning of a bright future for Bathroom entertainment? The rubber duck won't get a look in any more...

Our £10 Gift Voucher: making accessories accessible

We've got three gift vouchers available through our website and Facebook page, and we’d love you to take full advantage of them.

As they range in value, we thought we’d write a blog post regarding our £10 voucher. The £10 voucher has a minimum spend limit of £45, which is relatively low, allowing you the versatility to maybe purchase an item you might not usually buy.

Bathroom accessories can sometimes be a difficult purchase – they’re products you don’t necessarily wish to buy – like petrol, you seem to get minimum enjoyment from their basic functions.

Some accessories on the other hand can really brighten up your new installation, add storage, and in some cases, be a quirky focal point.

At Bathroom City, we have a huge range off extras; from toilet seats to tumblers and a collection of fashionable accessories which are bound to make a substantial difference in your suite.

How the right selection of accessories can contribute to style and storage
As customers, we often steer clear of paying over the odds for basics such as towel rails or robe hooks - sometimes we settle for budget accessories which don’t stand the test of time in either style or durability: having to replace them before you know it.

That said, with our £10 gift voucher you could make a purchase on an accessory which will tick the above boxes. An illuminated mirror for example, is a distinct style choice which can be the focal point of your suite.

The Hex Illuminated Mirror is the perfect choice for adding light and practicality to the bathroom, and, with its affordable price tag will provide a luxury contemporary look for a low price – a great choice when purchased with a gift voucher.

Moreover, the Elite Illuminated Round Mirror provides an alternate contemporary design, with its circular design and inset lighting; the mirror could be the eye catching product to finish your bathroom.

Proper Bathroom storage is often replaced by the practicalities provided by the basin, top of the toilet and other shelf-shaped entities. These quick fixes often lead to toothpaste stains, cluttered sides and an all round manifestation of dusty unused bathroom products that need throwing away.

One of the best ways to keep your bathroom clean and in check is buy purchasing a bath and shower caddy. These simple but elegant solutions come at a small price but offer big advantages to space and storage, ideal for cluttered bathrooms.

The Multi Function Bathroom Shelf is just £99 and provides all the space needed to home your bathroom essentials, de-cluttering and also offering an integrated mirror, towel rail, tumbler holder and soap holder – all you need for a clean practical suite.

For a more personalised look, try combining a number of cheaper accessories, such as a tumbler holder, soap holder and soap dispenser, to create your perfect selection of practicalities – Bathroom City has a full range on offer that will help to keep your basin area looking tidy and functional.

Finally, high quality toilet seats are often overlooked for cheaper options, but again, purchasing from one of our top brands will guarantee you long lasting appeal – so go on, take a look at those accessories you skip past with the added bonus of our £10 gift voucher, we've made some of our more expensive accessories accessible.

From Bedroom to Bathroom

When looking for a luxury bathroom suite, you may trawl the internet or catalogues for ideas and often see bathroom furniture, freestanding baths etc installed in huge rooms; selling you that dream suite.

Generally, these huge spaces seem far from the ones inside your home, your current bathroom possibly much smaller or an entirely different shape to the rooftop New York apartments complete with Jacuzzi and sauna found in brochures.

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that your home cannot mimic these dream concepts. Your current bathroom maybe compact but what about the spare bedroom? Is there a room in your house that lays dormant? Maybe your children have flown from the nest or perhaps your home office is simply collecting cobwebs.

Just because a room has been labelled a bedroom or office doesn't mean that the space has to provide that function until the end of time, so why not convert it into your dream bathroom?

Firstly, before you start removing your carpet or wallpaper, in order for your new bathroom to meet with water by-laws and building regulations, you must first contact your water supplier and building regulation officer for approval and possible advice on your conversion: that completed, you can set to work on building your catalogue fantasy.

Secondly, find a decent plumber, you will have to re-route the water supply and waste pipes. Waste disposal can be cleverly adjusted by using a macerator and pump, again an experienced plumber is all that is required.

Build up of condensation can spoil a bathroom within a relatively short period of time as it builds up damp and condensation which can lead to even worse problems. Ventilation is key, especially in rooms with no windows so make sure you invest in an extractor fan.

Finally, if you are looking to install a large cast iron bath, whirlpool or particularly robust units then make sure your floor can withstand the weight, especially in upstairs rooms and loft conversions – nobody wants to fall through the ceiling while in the tub.

Now it’s time to live the dream, with so much space on offer you can create the sumptuous (yet heavily ‘photoshopped’) look you desire. Bathroom City has a full range of high end products, perfect for filling those larger spaces, everything from Jacuzzi whirlpools to versatile Pelipal vanity units, so come and check us out!

Turn antique or old furniture into contemporary bathroom chic

Of course, our showroom is full to the brim with vanity units, storage cabinets and basin stands, for any bathroom suite, Bathroom City has a solution.

We understand though that certain bathroom designs deserve more attention, and sometimes a truly unique look needs a feature from outside the showroom.

Both traditional and contemporary suites can utilise this look, maybe a quirky vanity unit or magnificent mirror could be the key to turning your dream bathroom into paradise.

Is your house a treasure trove of ‘unwanted’ furniture? The garage often hides antique delights, perfect for giving an overhaul and sticking in the bathroom: you can turn furniture that you once hid away into the focal point of your bathroom suite.

Sound good? First things first is to find the right piece of furniture. Find something that suits your particular needs, whether its storage, style or size, the beauty of converting an older piece of furniture is that the possibilities are endless.

Not being limited by what you see in a showroom gives you the opportunity to pick furniture which may not necessarily be bathroom furniture. For example, an old dresser can be easily converted into a vanity unit with plenty of storage, while a bedside table could be the perfect solution for a cloakroom basin stand.

A converted dresser: traditional and practical
After selecting your furniture to convert, have a think about the colour scheme or features which will make it fit nicely with your current interior, take into account the bath, toilet, cabinets that you may have installed or plan to install.

Secondly, begin sanding! If you are changing the colour of the unit, you need to sand off the original finish. It’s monotonous and hard work but its well worth it to get the finish you desire, also consider sanding polished gold handles for a more rustic look.

Next up, are you installing a basin? Make sure you cut a whole that will fit your chosen basin snuggly with ample room for piping (this also should be taken into consideration when choosing your furniture).

Finally, make it unique! Think outside the box, there are thousands of ways to customise your furniture into truly original designs; try tiling the top of the unit for a hard wearing finish that matches your bathroom tiles. On the other hand you could completely change the finish with a brand new work top i.e. replacing wood with a stunning marble top.

If you have any ideas about converting your old furniture then please let us know, or, if you have done it yourself, send us some pictures and we’ll be glad to post them online.

Bathroom Design No Nos

Next to kitchens, bathrooms are the room that will add the most value to your home. The most important thing to remember when remodeling your bathroom is to do it at the right cost.  You don’t want to get everything at the cheapest rate possible, but you don’t want to spend so much that you don’t see any return on your investment either.  Here are a few things you can do to make sure you’re improving the value of your home, not diminishing it.

Do not carpet your bathroom.  Not only is this an unappealing design, but carpet holds moisture.  If your bathroom is holding moisture it’s likely that it’s also holding mould and mildew.  Putting carpet in your bathroom is definitely a remodelling mistake.

It’s no secret that when in use bathrooms become stuffy and moist.  Don’t make the mistake of forgetting to provide your bathroom with proper ventilation.  If your bathroom isn’t properly ventilated, again, you will find yourself suffering from mold and mildew in your bathroom.

Using fiberglass in your bathroom is also a bad idea.  Fiberglass is relatively cheap and will break easily.  Instead provide your bathroom with porcelain, stainless steel, or tile.  While none of these materials are fool proof, they are certainly the most durable and stain resistant.  This makes them great options for your bathroom décor.

Bright colors are an additional bathroom faux pas.  Your bathroom should be neutral colors.  The bathroom is a place for relaxation so having a bright color will decrease the value of this room.  While you need to keep the bathroom relaxed, make sure it’s not too dark.  This is where you get ready in the morning so it’s important to make sure there is an appropriate amount of light to make morning routines easier.

Overcrowding your bathroom is another no no.  It can be hard to fit everything you want in a bathroom because generally they’re a small space.  Trying to cram everything into your bathroom will make the space even smaller and more difficult to use.  Having a spot for everything is a good way to eliminate this problem. Having a lot of open counter space will make your bathroom seem bigger so try to put everything away. His and hers sinks are another waste of space and an unnecessary item that make your bathroom look smaller.  The need for two sinks is seldom, especially when you start seeing all the water it uses.

Water efficiency is another big consideration to make when remodeling your bathroom. Today, there are many types of sinks and toilets that have water saving technology.  This will save you a lot of money in the long run and definitely increase the value of your bathroom.

Remember these no nos when you’re remodeling your home and you won’t have to fret over poorly designed and functioning bathroom. The value of your home will increase if you take the proper bathroom remodel measures.

Happy Camper? We Certainly Are!

The world has a lot to offer, beautiful scenery, culture, people, food and drink, the list goes on. In this day in age it has never been so easy to explore the many earthly delights on offer, but sometimes we are bound by money, travel and accommodation restrictions.

After attending Busfest this year, we discovered a brand new company which is breaking those boundaries: Leisure Hubs...

Leisure Hubs is a van customisation company which concentrates on producing high quality furniture and innovative technologies for your van interior, giving you the ability to take to the open road with all the conveniences of your home.

The interior
Van customisation isn’t a new concept, but more often then not, fully bespoke vans are made from low quality materials at home by passionate van owners; not by experienced professionals looking to originate unique style.

It looked to us like the Leisure Hubs furniture was made from very high quality materials, with a kitchen unit with working water, coffee machine, sink, storage and a bed but the feature which really impressed us and the many other bystanders was their integrated shower.

Integrated shower
We could see more than one use for the shower, not just great fro keeping yourselves clean while traveling the open road but also great for washing dogs after walks, surfboards and other equipment which could stain your interior on the travel home.

If you like the sound of this design concept and enjoy the idea of this compact, comfortable concept then be sure to keep and eye on the progression of Leisure Hubs who are launching their ‘No Compromise Camper’ on October 16th 2012 at the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC.

Feature Washbasins: Not To Be Overlooked

Some people believe the bathroom to be of relative insignificance in the home, simply a place to wash, bath and do your business; some rarely even take care of the little boys room.

At Bathroom City, we believe that the bathroom is of great significance, and when done correctly, your family bathroom can be the home equivalent of a spa; giving you a place to relax and unwind at the end of a hard day.

Many features of the modern bathroom are often overlooked as a style choice and are regularly over shadowed by more significant home purchases.

A cleverly designed bathroom really can inspire your guests and a combination of the right furniture and sanitaryware can create a relaxed ambience which is second to none in the home.

One of the many overlooked bathroom essentials is the washbasin. Often selected purely on price, simplicity and the ability to merge with current bathroom furniture, the wash basin rarely gets a look in when spending your ‘luxury item’ fund (not that everyone has one of course).

A feature basin can drastically alter the look of your bathroom, and turn a functional design idea into an ore-inspiring luxurious concept, reminiscent of a top hotel, spa or health club.

‘I’d love a bathroom like that’ is regularly uttered with disappointment on leaving a hotel: so why not give it a go? The range of feature basins from Kohler is a great way to start.

With elegant vessel, undercounter, console, cast iron and ceramic washbasins, the range of Kohler products offers both timeless traditional designs reminiscent of Edwardian or Victorian grandeur as well as unique contemporary chic to impress your guests.

Capturing light in your suite and offering a head turning elegance, the Lavinia, Facet, Mirovia, Briolette and Pallene vessels are a clear glass look which captures the luxury of the vessel basin with a highly detailed design.

On the other hand, for a sumptuous ceramic vessel basin, the Nepal and Persia design offer a highly detailed hand crafted design, for a more decorative, elegant look.

Antilia Wading Pool
Moreover, for a simple yet effective clear glass concept which oozes class, the Antilia Wading Pool glass is a hand crafted clear glass concept with light capturing characteristics that resemble water in various physical forms.

If a vessel basin isn’t you cup of tea, then maybe an undercounter basin offering a similar shape recessed subtly into a countertop or piece of furniture maybe your ideal solution.

The Lilies Lore cast bronze undercounter vessel basin is a traditional design which captures the essence of yesteryear with its beautifully engraved bronze basin, while the Kallos under counter basin is a highly detailed glass vessel basin which captures light in your suite and exudes contemporary vogue.

For the ultimate undercounter design, the Marrakesh countertop and Camber basin offers four different combinations of basin and countertop each providing a luxury design with meticulous attention to detail crafted from china, ideally finished with any of Kohler’s wall mounted brassware.

Simple shapes with extravagant detailing can make the humble undercounter a focal point in your bathroom suite and promise an unrivalled look which oozes class.

Finally, for a grand look while maintaining timeless tradition which will create an unforgettable bathroom look, a console basin is a sophisticated design with extravagance by the bucket load.

Chrome legs support the Kathryn Console Table which is an elegant look, combining a fireclay console top and stylish square tapered chrome legs.

Alternatively, for a more traditional look the traditional Kathryn console table with mitred corners sits splendidly on octagonal chrome legs which exude class and capture classic Edwardian grandeur.

Kathryn Console Table
Whatever you decide, try not to overlook the humble washbasin, it can really define your bathroom interior and make a good bathroom great. If you would like more information on the exclusive Kohler range that we stock then contact us through www.bathroomcity.co.uk and drop us an email, phone call or even pop into one of our showrooms.

Be Inspired to Design

Want to reinvent your bathroom but have no inspiration? Keep looking at those dull lifeless walls and can’t seem to fathom a design? It’s difficult to begin designing a bathroom suite, without a keen eye for interior design; it may seem like a daunting process.

Not everybody is a top designer, and sometimes it takes a good showroom, sales person or just somebody who knows the field, for you to start visualising your dream suite.

If you are one of these people, you are not alone, everybody finds it difficult to imagine a personal ideal, even top designers. This blog is aimed to get those creative juices flowing and looks at some of the worlds finest bathroom designs. Some of them may feel worlds away from your current suite, but any look is possible with the right eye and inspiration.

 Southern Ocean Lodge, Australia

This designer hotel can be found in Kangaroo Island Australia and is around £1,200 a night.

Of course, the stunning view plays a key role in its overall beauty, but this style of bathroom can be easily acquired in your own home, it’s a simple freestanding bath and basins right?

By ignoring the luxurious nature of the suite and the bank breaking price tag, if you take the essence of the suite, a combination of real wood vanities, wooden features and minimal freestanding bath, the bathroom is in fact a simple design possibility for a standard home.

If you check out our freestanding bath range, we are sure you will find a design that could kick start your new suite, and moreover, check out the Pelipal range, you will discover a host of vanity units and double basins which capture a similar effect to this striking luxury suite.

Lime Wood

Located in the New Forest, Hampshire, this vintage bathroom overlooks a stunning view of nature and costs a modest £295 per double room.

Again, simplicity is key, and the bathroom is a traditional freestanding bath, lit up by the sumptuous natural light of the outdoors, making the space grow and exude elegance; maybe that is something to take on board in the development of your own suite?

Clos du Lethe

In Languedoc-Rousillon, France the £180 a night luxury farmhouse takes a different approach to its bathing facilities.

While most opt for a freestanding bath, the Clos du Lethe has developed a wet room.

Wet rooms are the epitome of simplicity, no panels, no trays, just a simple shower kit and the appropriate tiling.

Amongst showering facility the bath holds a similar look, and hotel’s owner, searched long and hard to find the exact copper pipe to drill into the farmhouse’s age old walls, in order to fill the bath in just two minutes.

Why not check out some of our contemporary shower kits on our website and begin developing a similar idea of your own?

Bathroom Design Ideas

It is important to think about the bathroom design as much as the bathroom fixtures. If you’re thinking of remodelling your bathroom, consider adding elements of comfort and elegance. Think crystal chandeliers, gold plated faucets, marble flooring and a stained-glass window. Bathrooms are getting the royal treatment, elegance, softness and sophistication are the key words for bathroom décor these days. People are spending top dollar to get hand-made Italian tiles, custom-constructed and fitted hand-rubbed wood cabinets and its time you got in on the action!

Bathrooms are getting larger combined with dressing areas and walk in closets. Over sized bathtubs, separate showers, gym equipment and sauna rooms, the bathroom is quickly becoming a destination place in homes. Some homeowners are even tearing down walls and eliminating small bedrooms to create giant bathrooms that they can put their own design ideas into.

Eye appeal and convenience is just what you need, custom cabinetry is designed to provide maximum storage. Tall cabinets on either side of the sink area offer eye-level storage for bathroom necessities. A small bathroom will look larger with mirrored walls or cabinet doors. Consider having the cabinets cut shallower than usual and bump out the counter area around the sinks. It’s also worth considering having the countertop installed at two heights, the lowered area can then serve as a dressing table.

Ceramic tiles of all shapes and styles are the choice of the day. Many bathrooms have laminate or solid surface countertops, for any variety of looks and durability choose glass, ceramic, stone or metal tiles. There are many painted or embossed tiles to choose from, even in ceramic. These are especially useful to create a border around an area, a chair rail design or to frame a mirror or cabinet. Decorative tiles are sold by the piece so before you go shopping measure the space you’re going to tile so that you know how many tiles you’ll need.

Available at www.bathroomcity.com
The elegant bathroom you’re designing will definitely need two sinks. Block out a place on each side of the room for a single sink, each person will be able to use their sink without rubbing elbows. Some redesigned bathrooms have the sink in front of the window to take advantage of the natural light. Be sure to have cabinets handy if you’re thinking of using pedestal sinks, it will make the room more open. If you want to get the newest look in bathroom sinks, show a large bowl mounted on top of a bathroom counter. Artists and designers are using all sorts of materials such as marble hand-blown glass, gold-leafed glass or shiny metals.

Get rid of the large wall-size frameless mirror over your sink and replace it with a beautiful framed mirror. Chose frame modelling to enhance your space. With the traditional mirror dressed up in elegant frame, you might want to move the medicine cabinet out of the way or hang a mirror framed door over the cabinet.

The slightest amount of creativity and imagination can help to change a usually bare, cold space into a luxurious personal retreat.

Creating a Bathroom on a Budget

Bathrooms can be a once in a lifetime purchase. Filling up shopping baskets with multiple properties is a past time left only to the rich and famous, and we understand that Joe public may purchase a bathroom suite a maximum of around 3 times in our existence.

At Bathroom City we also understand that this lifetime purchase can be an expensive one, and with the social pressures of installing a suite which will impress friends and family, it can be a tricky task to balance style and budget.

As a little point in the right direction this blog will simply recommend a series of our bathroom products which we believe offer great value for money, with a great look, durability and functionality.

First off the ultimate bathroom essential is a toilet, and on a low budget we feel it best to stick to a ceramic white and nicely curved feature as they appear to match the majority of bathroom products; it’s no good buying a cheaper product of course if it doesn’t match your suite.

JAX Jaz Close Coupled Toilet and Seat, £97
The JAX Jaz Close Coupled Toilet and Seat comes complete with all the essentials in style and function, using a chrome finished push button, white finish and curvaceous modern style; the toilet is a bargain at just £97.

Moreover, the Karizma Close Coupled Toilet and Seat from JAX is a slightly different variation in style but still maintains the bold lines of the Jaz depending on which unit suits your taste; the idea is simplicity and class in order to gain a modern style.

Next up, another Bathroom essential is a bath or shower, and again, JAX provide a stunning minimal design in the form of their Hidrobox Intro 1600x700 Acrylic Bath which is just £200. The single-ended bath combines bold lines and is ergonomically manufactured for sublime relaxation with its moulded interior and exterior.

Countess Acrylic Bath with Feet [A208], £215
For a slightly different look another great bath at an affordable price is the Countess Acrylic Bath with Feet [A208] which provides a free standing solution for the larger bathroom, giving you a luxury look and focal point in your suite for £215: a look which is usually much pricier.

If space is an issue when creating the bathroom you desire then maybe a shower is more appropriate such as the 800 and 900 Quadrant shower enclosure which is a simple solution for the smaller interior.

Both showers offer a corner enclosure which is perfect for saving space in a larger room or fitting snuggly into a smaller en-suite. With only a slight difference in size, the showers provide just as much at a budget as most high end showers, with toughened glass, clip out slide guides, single self-adjusting rollers, full height magnetic closures and concealed fixings, not to mention the glimmering chrome frame and reduced price of £139.

Finally, what bathroom wouldn’t be complete without a stunning vanity unit. An eye-catching vanity unit can give a bathroom suite character as well functionality in the form of storage and a basin.

800 Quadrant Shower Enclosure, £139
For both small and large units we’ve got to recommend JAX again, JAX never fail to provide quality at a full range of prices, and their lower priced options are great additions to any bathroom suite.

For smaller spaces, the JAX Ecco 450 Vanity Unit with Basin (white) and JAX Nebraska 400 Vanity Unit with Basin are ideal; the white giving you a simplistic look designed to disappear in your bathroom with its clean look, and the Nebraska 400 to be more of a focal point.

Also, another excellent solution to the smaller space is a wall hung unit, as they provide space underneath which can be used for storage or to simply open up your bathroom.

JAX Opera 650 Vanity Unit with Basin Sink, £185
The JAX Trax 325 Walnut Wall Hung Vanity Unit with Basin and Phoenix FI001 Ilario Single Door Cabinet provide just that, and again, promise style which can either merge with your current furniture or stand out as an impressive piece, which is both robust in its materials and durability but contemporary and functional.

For larger rooms, the JAX Ecco 850 Vanity Unit with Basin (white)  is another unit finished in white to add simple clean style and storage while the JAX Opera 650 Vanity Unit with Basin Sink is a unit which captures the essence of natural wood furniture with a walnut finish, chrome plated handles and double doors which provide generous storage.

Of course this brief guide to bargain hunting covers the bare essentials required to create a brand new design or add style to an older suite. Our website and showroom has a whole host of products ranging from budget options, right through to luxury items, all of which one trend remains the same, top quality at reasonable prices.

Grohe's Shower Revolution

A deep, hot bubble bath can be one of the best ways to unwind at the end of a long day, and with all the advances in whirlpool technology and jacuzzi’s growing in popularity in the home bathroom; you would think that bathing is the only way to fully relax.

Of course, Baths do all of the above but so can the humble shower, and with companies like Grohe at the forefront of technology, there is certainly more to showering then you may think.

Grohe’s development of Dream Spray Systems has certainly changed the face of showering, from a quick stand up option to a much more enjoyable experience which will have you showering until your fingers are prunes.

Grohe offers several different spray options from their latest shower heads: Rain spray, Massage spray, Jet spray and their latest technology, Rain o2 spray. Each option comes with its own unique characteristics which can be accessed through the simple click of a button.

Rain spray promises simple satisfaction through emulating the ambience of summer rain, giving you a refreshing rejuvenation. Similarly, their newest development Rain o2 spray also provides a similar effect but draws in oxygen to mix with the water and create a wider vibrant spray.

The Massage spray does exactly what it says on the tin but providing a pulsating jet which can relax your muscles and with a detachable handset, we found it perfect to concentrate on single areas.

Moreover, the Jet spray is firm blast, ideal for getting off touch mud after playing sport or manual labour and decreases the work you have to put in scrubbing with a sponge or scourer.

We recommend having a play with one of Grohe’s Dream Spray handsets at one of our showrooms, as the choice of options will have you choosing to unwind in your shower before you know it.
