They say that the road to the palace of wisdom is paved with excess. The folks at Hang Fu­ng Gold Technology Group must be very wise indeed. The company's Hong Kong showroom features the "Hall of Gold," which contains several opulent handcrafted treasures. But the tourist favorite is "The World's Most Expensive Gold and Jewellery Sparkling Environmental Friendly Washroom."

Everything in the Hang Fung's bathroom is made of pure gold- not counting the some 6,000 pieces of saphire along the celling. The toliet bowl alone is worth 3 million dollars.

Probably also the busiest bathroom in the world, 3 million people have visited this golden bathroom in the past three years. Just by charging $2.50 (HK$20) for taking one picture, the bathroom owners have made about $1.3 million dollars.

Unsurprisingly, the uber posh bathroom fittings are not for sale. But, if you're itching to add some bling to your bathroom, there are some other fixtures on the market from Bathroom City that might appeal to your extravagent taste.
