Oriental Inspired Bathrooms

Have you ever come home from a relaxing weekend away at a swanky spa or posh hotel and wished that your bathroom was a little less practical and a little plusher?

Welcome to the club.

More and more of us are using hotel spas and bathrooms as inspiration. Keeping things simple is a good starting point.

People often shy away from dark wood, especially in small rooms, fearing it can be overpowering. Yet if you choose a dark floor and a few key pieces of dark furniture, as long as you offset this with a light shade on the walls, the overall effect is still bright and airy. Why not check out the Pasha range (see picture below) which Bathroom City offer which would be the perfect fit.

If you're still worried about light, look for a big mirror to reflect light and set the tone for an Oriental spa style bathroom.

PASHA
Avoid an overly clinical look with splashes of rainbow colours. Interior shops have utterly affordable accessories in the form of storage and laundry baskets, not to mention bathmats and towels in strong, solid shades and great patterns.

Add to the indulgent look with a silk dressing gown and beautifully packaged bath and body products.

Decant everyday toiletries, such as cotton buds and cotton wool balls, into glass jars and, for the ultimate in luxury, stock up on scented candles for fantastic fragrance and the definitive way of adding to that spa-style ambience.

Now, all you need for your sybaritic spa dream to become a reality is a butler to draw you a rose petal-strewn bath and a masseuse on hand to anoint you with aromatic oils.
